Pastoral Studies and Counseling is a field of study focused on training ministers, rabbis, imams, and priests therapy services to others. As a division of psychology, pastoral studies and counseling is a degree program in high demand not associated with economic undulations. Pastoral counseling is different from other forms of psychotherapy and counseling is the role and level of accountability of the counselor and their expression of the pastoral relationship. More specifically, the pastoral role is to understand the patient through the lens of faith and life. With the combination of psychology and theology, the pastoral counselor deepens their relationship with each patient and helps develop individual treatment plans.
